Saving the Planet Will Not Be Easy

All right, I'm no science person. But, I know a red herring when I hear, see and smell one, and we've got a big one loose on the American landscape these days called, bio-fuels.

You know, ethanol, bio-diesel, and a host of other possible plant-into-transportation fuel solutions that keep circulating to the top of  America's semi-consciousness.

Turns out, according to the science, these "solutions" are not really solutions at all, but just another way that big companies can continue to make money while the planet gets raped and pillaged.

To be fair, it's not the production of the bio-fuels per se that is the problem, it is the competition for land that it creates, which, in turn, leads to more clearing of wild land, more release of stored carbon, and more use of fossil fuel to facilitate the whole exchange.
